Strength training has several health benefits. It helps in reducing fat mass and increasing lean mass, improves balance, slows muscle atrophy caused by aging, helps in maintaining bone tissue, improves the cardiovascular system, among others.

Strength training is one that will require a lot of muscles. That is, at the time of execution, you will need as many muscle fibers as possible to overcome the resistance offered by your body. It is often confused with hypertrophy training. The two have some similarities, it is true. But the main difference is that strength training will make you stronger while hypertrophy training will be greater.

It can be done by anyone, as long as there is monitoring by a qualified professional. In addition to improving your strength, training helps with balance, motor coordination, agility, among others.

Muscle strength can be considered a fundamental component of physical fitness aimed at maintaining quality of life, or increasing sports performance, being part of most physical training programs with a view to health or performance.
